It's been awhile (I know)

Below is some of my recent Inspirations. Random tidbits, things that are fun and things that I just LOVE. I just bought a pack of these:

which I am super excited about. I hate dropping off cd files in boring throw away plastic CD sleeves. They are 100% recycled from sustainablegroup I think I may do a fun illustrative linoleum cut on them once I get them to spice them up a bit. Every little bit counts!

Orla Kiely is in target right now. I got a snazzy magazine holder, and am hoping to go back to get some dishware. Love her vintage prints!

Another thing I'm thinking about is moving my studio out of the "barn" and into a super funky fresh cabana! I fell in love with these prefabs - but I'm going to have my bf (contractor) build me one! I like the look of this one - lots of light and air.

Lastly, I was browsing some of DC's work and grabbed the image I loved the most. I like the crease in the center... Until next time - H

Lots of New Fun Stuff

Howdy,

Things have been crazy here on the sunny coast of central CA... Seachange Studio has been booming and It has been an exciting scramble to get it all together.... I finished up working with Bergantz Development and the Interiors of the Beach condos.. They look so beautiful, I would love to live in them.

I created some new paintings for a show I had at the Roll out the Barrels Wine Weekend (My work was up at Perbacco Cellars).

We also have some new clients we are working with. We are going to be doing more eko campaigns for Manduka, and a ton of stuff for a friend who is starting a beautiful line of clothes. Also One Industries is going to get some sick new designs for their fall line. (we love motocross and One is the company to check out!)...

Check out all the goodies below.. and until next time -

New Work Finally!

Howdy,
I have been busy here at SeaChange creating all kinds of fun things... Right now I am working on some commissioned artwork for Bergantz Development, doing surf inspired collage pieces for their new condo project in Pismo Beach. Each high end vacation rental unit will have one of a kind art pieces create by me! We are going with the vintage surf theme with old weathered beach signs, vintage photographs of surfing and pismo beach from the early 1900's. I took a trip down to the San Luis Obispo museum to take photos (of the old photos) of Pismo beach and the surrounding area. So amazing that the coast was once empty and only filled with tents on the beach and horse drawn carriages. So much has changed in the last century. I am truely blessed to be living in such a beautiful area and I am reminded of it every morning when I see the light shine across the cattle filled fields, and watching the newly bloomed wildflowers grow. I will also be showing in a few weeks at a local tasting room (which I will fill you in on that soon)... Until Next Time.

Holy Art! Show

It's been awhile.. I know.. Things have been crazy. I finished some new art for the Holy Art! Show, and it was a great night filled with insane live music from Kyle Bergantz and DJ James Barak, food, drinks, and a great turnout. Look for another show at La Perla Del Mar mid summer. It was an inspiring night filled with artwork that truely represents the beauty we live in here on the central coast (and i managed to sell some stuff). It was truely an honor to show my artwork alongside local talents- Eric Soderquist, David Malcom, Tyler Kritz, Guy Quezada, Chris Zacker, & Burly Vreeland. Check out the Photos! Also check out Photographer Terilee Dawn for more info and photos.

Howdy
I can't tell you what kind of secret things we've been up to lately, but we've been feeling really eco-licious here at seachange studio! We have been working with some fine companies creating what's best for our environment - a mix of eco with meaning inspired graphics, products, and print media. Here's a sneak peak. Watch out for more to come...

Toms Shoes & Wetsand

I recently went to Ventura to particate in the Wetsand Tom's Shoes Artist event.. We painted over 35 pairs of shoes, so It was a really great success and a night filled with fun, art and music. Randy Noborikawa came up from Quiksilver and played with his super talented band - Deepwater. If you stop through Ventura be sure to check out the Wetsand shop at 446 E. Main St.. It really is beautiful, and one of my best buds Shannon Menzel will be there to greet you.
